Nottingham Crown Court heard how Whitehouse used his mother’s Twitter account to announce his plans to launch the Denial of Service (DDoS) attack on the Web casino.  The youth was also ordered to pay a fine for possession of illegal weapons.

Judge Stokes sentenced Whitehouse to a 12-month custodial sentence, now suspended after Stokes issued the following statement.

"You were, at the relevant time, extremely naïve. I am satisfied you had no intention whatsoever of selling or distributing any of those items," said Judge Stokes about Whitehouse’s stash of illegal weapons.
