Bodog Poker Falls to 19th Spot for Real Cash Players

Bodog Poker's luck continues to wane.  A check of Saturday morning's real cash poker activity showed that the once prominent online gambling firm was 19th in terms of real time cash players.

While the site maintained its 14th placement among the world's online poker networks in terms of 24 hour peak traffic and 7 day average real cash players, four other rooms were within striking distance of Bodog Poker.

"This room is in serious danger of dropping to the lower Top 20 by the end of February," warned Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor of the Gambling911.com website, which has been monitoring Bodog Poker's traffic since they ran into payout problems and issues with the U.S. Government confiscating a large chunk of their funds.  "It's very sad and we can only pray they rebound."

A representative from Bodog believes that things should start getting back to normal soon.

"We want to make sure we are properly set up to take deposits," he said.  While Bodog is still accepting new customers, they are limited in the number of payment processors available to them.  As Gambling911.com reported last week, it appeared as if Bodog was making some progress in getting payouts processed in a more timely fashion.  The site is far from being considered a "rogue" operation.

PKR, Ladbrokes, BetFair and Cryptologic are all looking to propel past Bodog Poker in the rankings, though all four have had their own share of problems building real cash player bases.

Bodog's celebrity poker players include David Williams, a one time amateur porn star who appeared in a GILF (Grannies I'd Like to F***) video.
