Absolute Poker Liquidation Confirmed by Kahnawake

Claims of ownership interest in Absolute Poker parent company Blanca need to be settled prior to the distribution of liquidated assets, PokerFuse.com was reporting on Wednesday

The Canada-based Kahnawake Gaming Commission has confirmed US court documents describing a settlement between a group of corporate entities described as the “Absolute Poker Companies” centered on Blanca Games, their report cited.

The KGC release on behalf of Blanca appears to be an attempt to close the public book on its supposed supervisory role regarding Absolute Poker. The release also included this statement:

“If the court approves the settlement, and if there are assets remaining after the resolution of the claims made by other parties, it is anticipated that the court will provide a process for players to make claims against those assets.”

No white knight appears evident as with Full Tilt Poker where one time rival PokerStars has promised to pay back all customers.

It is still possible that customers of Absolute Poker and sister online poker site UB.com will receive a percentage of what is owed to them similar to what transpired with BetOnSports.  However, in that scenario, customers only received 3 to 5 cents on the dollar once all assets were liquidated.
