Don’t look now but the Wolverhampton Wanderers are right up there among the elite with 7 points early on and the Wolves Premier League Championship odds for 2011 – 2012 are currently 5000/1 at 888Sport.com.  They are tied with Chelsea.  There were also odds on the Wolves to finish among the top 4 at 100/1 and top 6 at 16/1.  That is a pretty nice insurance play if you ask those of us here at Gambling911.com.

Wolves striker Steven Fletcher:  "We've made a good start to the season," Fletcher told the club's official website.

"The boys have been playing well and the important thing now is that we keep it going.  For me personally it was good to get off the mark with a goal at Blackburn and I'm looking forward to trying to get a few more.  It's only the first three games and it's only the start to the season but it already feels nice to have a bit of breathing space.  We spent so much of last season in the bottom three and found it difficult to get out until right at the end.

The Wolves remain unbeaten following their 0-0 weekend matchup against Aston Villa.

Wolves captain Roger Johnson praised his side's defensive capabilities.

"A clean sheet was big for us," Johnson, a summer signing from Birmingham, told Sky Sports. "I said to the boys that we would need to weather the storm and we did.

"We'll take seven points so far. We know we're a very good team and we'll try and finish as high as possible. We're a good side."

Elsewhere, Man United led the pack with 9 points while Man City was breathing down their necks.

Manchester United was listed with 5/4 odds while Manchester City has been slashed from 3/1 to 2/1.
