While Wisconsin remains undefeated, Michigan State also has an impressive record with only a single loss. Both teams are ranked:  Wisconsin is at number 4 and Michigan State is at number 15 in the nation.

The Badgers lead the nation with an average of 50.2 points and their 523.2 yards per game of offense ranks eighth.  Much of these numbers have been acquired at home and Wisconsin is likely to face a significant challenge over these next two weeks going up against Michigan State and Ohio State on the road.

Interestingly enough, Wisconsin’s last conference loss was at Michigan State, a 34-24 defeat last October.

"I probably didn't stress playing on the road in the Big Ten as much as I should have going into that game," Coach Bret Bielema said.  "And we didn't play very well. I think we left a lot of things on the field. But I do remember telling our team last year, I didn't know, going into Michigan State, if we had a championship team. But I knew leaving the locker room we did. I just don't want to have to repeat that speech. That was good for last year, I don't want to use it this year."

The Spartans' defense has allowed only 10.8 points and 186 yards per game

These two teams have alternated wins over the past 6 seasons but the home team has won all of those games.  Four of those games, including the last two, were won by more than the current spread.
