Through 15 games in 2011, Welker led the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, yards per game, and receptions for first downs, ranking among the top five in receiving touchdowns and receptions of 20 yards or more and finishing the season with 122 receptions (tied for fourth-highest total in NFL history), 1,569 receiving yards and 98.5 yards per game (both second to Calvin Johnson), and 77 receptions for first down (tied with Johnson for the NFL lead).  He also had a career-high 9 touchdown receptions.

He is listed with 8/1 odds to be the first player to score in the 2012 Super Bowl.

Additionally, Welker is listed at 12/1 odds to be named Super Bowl MVP.
