Week 12 NFL 2016 Betting Trends, Strategies: Giants, Titans, Patriots
One of our all time favorite betting strategies to employ is betting sides that are seeing 25 percent or less action with heavy volume coming in while oddsmakers continue to move the line in such a way to entice continued action on the public favorite. This is precisely what we are seeing with 2016 Week 12 NFL betting.
Bet Against The New York Giants Week 12
Hard to tell folks to wager on the winless Browns but, with over 90 percent of the public backing on New York and oddsmakers bringing the line down another half point to encourage even more wagering on the Giants, we here at Gambling911.com believe the Browns should cover within 6.5 points.
Tennessee Titans Week 12 Trends
Each week one can find plenty of great recent trends pertaining to the Tennessee Titans, especially at home and/or playing division teams.
This week they head to Chicago and we have seen the line shoot up from a PICK’EM to -6 favoring Tennessee, a team that is one game under the .500 mark. This is a direct result of Chicago’s continued injury woes.
The Titans are 11-30 Against The Spread in all games over the past three seasons, 1-5 ATS as a favorite over that time period and 3-16 ATS when playing a team with a losing record (i.e. the Bears).
One hint that the Titans have been improving: In recent weeks they have begun to defy these odds so be sure to exercise caution before placing that bet.
Patriots Line Also Suspect
Tons of action on the Pats this week in New York playing the Jets but the line has drifted down from -9 to -7 New England, this amidst questions as to whether Tom Brady will start for the Patriots.
The books have plenty of exposure with New England and, as we noted above, such line movements going against public action leads to one of our favorite betting strategies. Couple that with the Jets covering in the last six games of this series. Let’s just say we’re not betting on New England this week.
