Oddsmakers have the Washington Redskins winning 8 regular season games in 2017. The OVER 7.5 was slightly favored at -120 but should win fewer.
Not everyone sees things this way. AthlonSports.com suggests that the Skins were on the verge of self-destruction (firing their GM, endless negotiations with Kirk Cousins) before ultimately coming to their senses.
Given all that has gone on since the bitter end of the 2016 season, it seems amazing to say this — but at least on paper, the Redskins appear to be a better team than the one that went 8–7–1 and narrowly missed the playoffs a year ago.
