Considering how tight the NFC East is and that three teams are tied at 2-2, gamblers may want to look at the Washington Redskins odds to win the NFC East.  Amazingly, they remain rather big long shots at 5/1 after BetUS.com updated their divisional odds Monday.

“It’s all about the schedule,” explains Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “The oddsmakers are counting on the Redskins faltering over these next few weeks.”

Faltering to the likes of Green Bay and Indianapolis, both of whom they host over these next two weeks.  Washington then heads to Chicago, which started the season 3-0 but disappointed Sunday night.

“Green Bay and Indianapolis have hardly looked invincible thus far and the Bears certainly did not Sunday evening,” says Shapiro.

At 5/1 odds, the Redskins would pay out $500 for every $100 bet.

The Philadelphia Eagles would pay $250 for every $100 bet but gamblers may want to stay clear with news that Michael Vick will not play for at least another week.

Vick is being listed as “week-to-week” with a rib cartilage injury that is reportedly causing excruciating pain.

"This is going to be one of those day-to-day, week to week [injuries]," Eagles coach Andy Reid said Monday. "We'll just see how it goes and how he feels along the way."

The Eagles will play in San Francisco this coming weekend and face a desperate 0-5 49ers team.

The Giants at3/1 to win the NFC East divisionhardly looked imposing against the Bears Sunday night in terms of offensive power, but still managed to get the job done at 17-3.  New York’s defense went to work registering 10 sacks, the most sacks by one team in the same game since the Giants ended up with 12 against Philadelphia back in September of 2007.

Oddly enough it is the 1-2 Dallas Cowboys who remain the favorites to win the NFC East at +140 odds.

It’s not as if Dallas will have things easy these next couple of weeks.  They host the Titans in Week 5 and then head to Minnesota to take on Brett Favre and the Vikings.

Certainly Gambling911.com believes the Washington Redskins have some great value at 5/1 odds to win the NFC East.  Ean Lamb reporting for Gambling911.com.
