Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Miami Florida Odds

Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Miami Florida odds to win the 2011 ACC Coastal division were posted at BetOnline.com.

Virginia Tech was an even-odds favorite to win it with North Carolina at +150 for a potential payout of $150 on every $100 bet while Miami Florida had odds of just under 3/1 or +275.

Blake Frazier of BetOnline.com points out that the schedule for Virginia Tech should be much easier than last year’s.

“The Hokies should start 4-0 with relatively easy games out of conference before opening ACC play with Clemson and Miami in consecutive weeks,” he predicted.  “Road trips to Wake Forest, Duke, Georgia Tech, and rival Virginia shouldn’t be too difficult. In the end, Tech should face Florida State once again for the ACC title, just like last season.

Another solid team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, will have it a bit tougher.

“The Heels’ schedule is challenging, but not overwhelming for a team trying to break in a brand new quarterback. Facing James Madison, Rutgers, and Virginia to open the season should give them a chance to build some momentum early. October should be a little more difficult when they face Louisville, Miami, and travel to Clemosn in a three week stretch. The Heels must go to NC State but get a week off to prepare for a November trip to Blacksburg to face highly-regarded Virginia Tech.”

The Hokies odds of winning the 2012 BCS were listed at 28/1 while North Carolina had odds of 80/1.

Duke +5000

Georgia Tech +1500

Miami Florida +275

North Carolina +150

Virginia +1000

Virginia Tech -105

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
