Vikings vs. Rams Betting Line at St. Louis -3.5: Over is 9-1 in This Series

The Vikings vs. Rams betting line had St. Louis as a -3.5 home favorite.  A handful of online sportsbooks had the line at -3 while others were at -4.  Shop wisely though as not all online sportsbooks have the same stability as those found on the Gambling911.com website.

Books have moved the line a half point but Gambling911.com can report that action was at over 70% in favor of the Vikings at both +4 and +3.5.  It will be interesting to see if St. Louis does come down to -3 by Sunday.

The Rams season opener record is brutal at 2-11-1 Against The Spread and, with starting quarterback Sam Bradford out for the season, it’s hard to see this trend turning around any time soon. St. Louis did open the season as a -6 favorite with Bradford expected to start so oddsmakers have essentially shaved 3 points off the spread as a result of his absence.  It’s interesting to note that using the precise calculations found at Sagarin (USA Today), the St. Louis line falls right on -3.

Vikings +3.5 Rams/Total 44

The Vikings are 0-7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and it doesn’t look like they are going to be much better heading into this season.

Minnesota though beat St. Louis on the road two seasons ago by a final score of 36-22.  While the Vikings entered that game as a +1 underdog, we would be remiss in pointing out that they finished off the regular NFL season with 10 wins before losing their first Playoffs game to division rival Green Bay.

Some pundits believe this season could mimic that of 2012-2013 following a promising preseason performance whereas expectations are especially low.

Vikings players have spoken highly of new head coach Mike Zimmer's leadership and the approach the new coaching staff has taken, according to the Associated Press.  Minnesota went 4-0 in the preseason.

Probably your best bet here is on the total and OVER 44.  The OVER has hit in nine of the last ten meetings between these two teams.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
