This was the second most wagered on game for Saturday after Texas vs. Ohio State and Alabama's Ty Simpson comes in at 247.5 Over/Under passing vs. Florida State.

In 2024, Simpson served as Alabama’s primary backup quarterback, appearing in six games. He threw 14-of-25 passes for 167 yards, with no passing touchdowns or interceptions, and amassed a QBR of 73.0.  Additionally, he rushed 8 times for 44 yards, including a rushing touchdown. 

Simpson  has played 16 games, completing 29 of 50 passes for 381 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions, and also rushed for 130 yards and three rushing scores.

“I’m going to make sure that I’m the toughest guy on the field," Simpson vowed coming into this season.  "I’m going to make sure that I win. I’m going to make sure that I know everything."
