Titans Falcons Line

The Titans Falcons line was coming in at Atlanta -6 with only a half point move downwards since opening at -6.5.  Just over 80 percent of those betting the spread were backing Atlanta here.

Stan Simmons of BetOnline.com:

“Six points seems like a lot for this Tennessee team and they should be able to cover the spread this week in the Georgia Dome, although Atlanta should claim the SU win. The Titans are rolling right now and they’ll be able to control the clock with Johnson, who can pull more fans back to his side with another strong performance. The Titans should be your pick to cover the  spread in Atlanta.”

Linebacker Barret Ruud (groin) is the only major injury worry for the Titans.

With Matt Schaub likely out for the rest of the season in Houston, the Titans have a shot at winning the depleted AFC South so this is a team that should gain some extra motivation.

The Titans are 14-5 Against The Spread in their last 19 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0 but are also 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a Straight Up win, something that doesn’t bode well with those of us here at Gambling911.com.

We would be quick to note that the Falcons are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Despite last week’s loss to New Orleans, Atlanta has been pretty hot of late, winning their three previous games.  Atlanta played hard last week and lost only after taking this game into overtime.  Two of their five wins this season were by 4 or fewer points.
