The Texans vs. Raiders betting line had Houston as a -2.5 road favorite in Oakland even with Jadeveon Clowney out for this game and potentially up to five weeks beyond that point.
The number one Draft pick of 2014 suffered a torn meniscus during the second quarter of the Texans' 17-6 win over Washington.
"He's been good," Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said of Clowney. "He's a great kid. He's a resilient kid. He's been a good teammate since the day he walked in the door here. He was disappointed, obviously. ... We've got great doctors here and he'll be back."
Houston is 1-14 Straight Up in its last 15 games and 5-13 Against The Spread while Oakland has lost five straight games Straight Up.
The Raiders did beat the Texans in Houston last season.
