Texans vs. Bengals Line

A handful of online sportsbooks had the Texans vs. Bengals line at -1.5 while the majority were offering Cincinatti at -3.  Houston was getting just shy of 60 percent backing with those betting the spread.  You can wager on this game at Bookmaker.eu, serving the sports betting public since 1985 and offering mobile, in-progress wagering and up to $300 in FREE CASH here.

Despite Matt Schaub being out, the Texans have had one of the longest winning streaks in their team history at 6.  They will face a Bengals team that is 7-5 and holding on for dear life to slim hopes of a Playoff berth, though they dropped three of their last four games.  Houston beat the Bengals on the road by 11 points when they last met in 2009.

While the Texans are 5-0-1 Against The Spread in their last 6 games overall, they are a less-than-stellar 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog.  The Bengals, however, are 4-11-2 ATS in their last 17 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0.

The total is very interesting in this game.  Houston has not allowed an opponent to score more than 14 points in its last 6 games while Cincinnati has not scored more than 24 in its last five games.  Combine those two numbers and you get 38.  The OVER/UNDER for this game just happens to be 38, but you can get 38.5 by shopping around.

With the Bengals having played Pittsburgh last week, expect this Cincinnati team to be a bit worn down.  The folks from Don Best TV talk about this angle quite a lot in fact.  The Bengals will be playing one of the league’s toughest defenses this week.   Houston has scored 20 and 17 points, respectively, in their last two games without Schaub.  Houston is starting their third string quarterback, TJ Yates.  His first start was a solid showing.

More stats and the video betting preview follows this ad…

The Over is 8-2 in Texans last 10 games as an underdog.

The Under is 7-2 in Texans last 9 vs. AFC.

One stat we really like is the Under has gone 10-4-1 for the Texans last 15 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.

The Over is 8-1 in Bengals last 9 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.

The Under is 5-1 in Bengals last 6 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0.

The Under is 17-5 in Bengals last 22 games in December.

The Texans can secure a home field first round bye if they continue to win.

The Bengals have been an OVER team all season long but Gambling911.com will be on the UNDER 38.5.

Bookies Software in Mississippi - Start Your Own Sportsbook

Mississippi may be one of the best places to run a bookmaking operation.  The state is gambling-friendly, was one of the first to allow regulated sports betting following a Supreme Court decision overturning decades of prohibition and there are commercials for sportsbooks every few minutes during games.  But Mississippi does not regulate mobile online sports betting.  That's where the local bookie has an edge.
