The surprising Cleveland Browns host the Houston Texans with a 6-3 record and lead the AFC North for the first time in 19 years.  Houston, meanwhile, is flirting with the .500 mark.

Houston has struggled on the road, going 2-10 Straight Up in their last twelve away games while Cleveland is 4-1 Straight Up in its last 5 games at home.

With the Browns surging, it should be of little surprise that some of that team’s players have begun to make an impact on the fantasy circuit.

Nonetheless, starting quarterback Brian Hoyer has yet to gain much traction among fantasy pundits.

ESPN.com notes that “with the Texans giving Ryan Mallett his first career start and three capable Cleveland running backs ready to kill clock, another uneventful performance could be coming for Hoyer.”

ESPN.com suggests that it was Cleveland’s defense that should be credited with last week’s win and not necessarily Hoyer.

Wide receiver Andrew Hawkins should return to the lineup after suffering an ankle injury in Week 9. Through nine games only Baltimore allowed more yards to wide receivers than the 195 per game given up by Houston and this should bode well for Hawkins just as long as he is healthy.
