Tampa Bay Bucs Odds to Win 2014 NFC South, Prediction

The Tampa Bay Bucs odds of winning the 2014 NFC South were set at 8-1 and there is terrific value here considering that oddsmakers have this team priced at -150 to win 8 or more regular season games.

2014 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl Odds: 45-1

2014 Season Win Total: 7 (over -150)

Tampa’s schedule is relatively soft.  They’ll be playing in 6 games where the opponent appeared in last year’s playoffs.

BetDSI.com’s analysis and prediction for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

2014 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Offense: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense should be vastly improved this season. The team has a quality quarterback in Josh McCown and a good backup in Mike Glennon. The Bucs took Mike Evans in the NFL Draft to start across from Vincent Jackson. They also took Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the second round. The offensive line should also be better with the addition of Evan Dietrich-Smith who they got from Green Bay. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers running game should also be better as Lovie Smith will give the ball early and often to running back Doug Martin who slumped after a great rookie season.

2014 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Defense: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a very good defensive coach in Smith and they made some nice off-season moves. They got former Tennessee Titan Alterraun Verner who they signed to a four-year deal. Dashon Goldson should also be better under Smith and Mark Barron will be vastly improved with Smith running the defense. The front line was bolstered by the addition of Michael Johnson who had 11.5 sacks a couple years ago. And not to be left out, the team has one of the top linebackers in the league in Lavonte David.
