With the Super Bowl betting odds mostly Colts -5 ½, close to 73 percent of the backing was on Indianapolis Sunday.  Approximately 85 percent of books were now listing the Colts odds at -5 ½ after a number moved up to -6.  Sportsbetting.com was still holding at +6 for New Orleans Saints backers.  SBG Global was one of the many still holding at -5 ½ for Colts backers.

Some important early Super Bowl betting odds trends to consider before betting on this game included:

New Orleans is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games

New Orleans is 15-3 SU in its last 18 games

The total has gone UNDER in 4 of New Orleans's last 6 games

New Orleans is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games when playing Indianapolis

New Orleans is 5-2 SU in its last 7 games when playing Indianapolis

Indianapolis is 7-2 ATS in its last 9 games

Indianapolis is 16-2 SU in its last 18 games

The total has gone OVER in 5 of Indianapolis's last 6 games

Indianapolis is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games when playing New Orleans

Indianapolis is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games when playing New Orleans

As a favorite of -3 ½ to -9 ½ points, the Colts are 7-0 Straight Up.

Since 1993, against NFC South division opponents, the Colts are 7-1 Straight Up and 7-1 Against The Spread.   This is a pretty impressive stat.

In nonconference games over the past 3 seasons, the Colts are 10-2 SU.

Here are some other Super Bowl betting odds Gambling911.com will be keeping a close eye on in the coming days in addition to the many Super Bowl props:

The total on this game continued to sit on 56 ½.

The money line for the Saints would pay out just shy of $20 for every $10 bet.
