The books are looking for a little payback with the Sunday Night Football betting odds on the Seahawks-Patriots game teasing at New England -7 at the online shops and -7.5 at the Vegas books.  But why no 8 or greater with around 80 percent of bets coming in on the Pats?

Seahawks-Patriots Lopsided Sunday Night Matchup: Bookies Putting it All on the Line

Seattle has a 5-2-1 record coming into Week 10 and they appear to be the best team in the NFC West but New England has been a bookie killer this season, covering all but one game while routinely a betting public favorite.  The books appear to believe Seattle will get the better of New England this week as they are doing everything possible to encourage action on the Patriots.

Seahawks-Patriots Head to Head

We have had two meetings since 2012 and there hasn’t been a major shift in either team quality over that time.  Seattle won at home in 2012 as a +3.5 underdog.  Assuming today’s Patriots team playing the 2012 Seahawks in New England, the Patriots would have been an -8.5 to -9 point home favorite.  The Pats beat Seattle by four points as a -1 point favorite in Super Bowl 49. Gambling911.com believes the line on this game should be New England -6.5.

Seahawks ‘Due’ for an Underdog Win

The Seahawks will play in New England as a +7.5 underdog.  They are 0-2-1 Against The Spread as underdogs since 2012. The Seahawks are the biggest dogs since Week 7 of the 2012 season against San Francisco.

More Takeaways

The Patriots are 12-4 under Bill Belichick/Tom Brady coming out of a bye.

Wilson has 19 touchdown passes against one interception in his last six games against AFC opponents.

Expectations are this will be the most watched primetime NFL game so far this season.

Vegas books reporting that the Pats were seeing 10 times the amount of action as the Seahawks.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
