Sugar Bowl Odds: Arkansas vs. Ohio State

Sugar Bowl odds for Arkansas vs. Ohio State were available at SBG Global with a spread of Buckeyes -3 featured.  This was the line found at most online gambling sites early on.  The game itself will be played on January 4, 2001, so there is plenty of time for more line movement.

The Buckeyes solidified their chances of playing in another College Bowl game by beating Michigan last week, a team that has been outscored by OSU 100-24 over a 3-year span.   Ohio State has also gone 9-1 against Michigan in the past 10 years.

"You know, we all have our ups and down,” Jim Tressel was prompted to say after beating Michigan.  ‘But Michigan will be back. You don't have to worry about that."

Number 12-ranked Arkansas made a case for why it should play in a BCS bowl game by beating the 5th ranked LSU Tigers.

In so doing, they won the Golden Boot Trophy for the third time in four seasons.  Arkansas finished 2nd in the SEC West.

Razorbacks quarterback Ryan Mallett will likely be playing his final college football game during the upcoming Sugar Bowl.
