Steelers vs. 49ers Line

The Steelers vs. 49ers line was listed at San Francisco -3 for this Monday Night Football showdown.  Finally a Monday Night Football game we can be proud of.  There is about a 1 point overlay on this line.  60 percent of the spread action was coming in on Pittsburgh.   This game can be bet at BetOnline.com, which is offering up to $900 in FREE CASH contingent upon first deposit.

The OVER/UNDER on this game was 37.5.  In four of the last five home games, San Francisco managed to score 23 points or more.  The least amount of points scored by Pittsburgh in their last nine games was 13 points.  With Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s status questionable, it is difficult to place a bet on the total in this game.

Roethlisberger is dealing with a severe high ankle sprain.  Even if he plays, he probably won’t be at his best, going up against a defense that has surrendered the fewest points in the league this season.  Pittsburgh LB James Harrison is also expected to be a no show.  Likewise, Maurkice Pouncey will be out with an injury similar to Roethlisberger’s.   Chris Carter (hamstring) and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (foot) have been ruled out as well.

The Steelers are 6-0 Against The Spread in their last 6 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.  They are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a S.U. win.

The 49ers are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games as a home favorite.  They are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss.  They are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.

Tony Bryant of BetOnline.com expressed his concerns over San Francisco:

“While injuries aren’t a concern in San Francisco, head coach Jim Harbaugh may have to keep an eye on any possible complacency that could creep in to the picture, as his team has now dropped two of its last three, including a fourth quarter meltdown at Arizona last week. The 49ers allowed John Skelton to throw for 282 yards and three touchdowns, including the go-ahead score in the final frame of a 21-19 loss. Part of the problem has been the struggles of running back Frank Gore, who hasn’t rushed for more than 88 yards in any of his last five games, and will be in tough to hit that mark again when he lines up against one of the best defenses in the NFL.”

We at Gambling911.com can’t help but believe the San Francisco 49ers will capitalize on Pittsburgh’s plights and should be able to cover the -3 here.  As good as the 49ers have played at home this season, it’s tough to bet against them especially when the Steelers are so roughed up.
