A hoax fire alarm was set off at 3 am Sunday morning at the airport hotel the Pittsburgh Steelers were staying at ahead of their AFC Championship game against the New Patriots later in the day.  LIVE IN-PLAY BETTING will be available throughout this championship game.

Hotel personnel said the entire hotel had to be evacuated, but it ended up being a false alarm.  The team itself was not evacuated, according to media reports.

For anyone who has ever been abruptly awoken in the middle of the night to blaring fire alarms, it’s not just the evacuation but the inability to fall back asleep once the situation has settled down.  How will this affect players in Sunday night’s game?  It remains to be seen.

The Steelers will play the New England Patriots Sunday night in the AFC Championship Game. Kickoff is 6:40 p.m. ET.

ESPN reported around 8 a.m. that Massachusetts State Police have arrested a 25-year-old Boston man who allegedly pulled the fire alarm.  The individual was not staying in the hotel.
