If you were one of the lucky one’s who had the correct score of Spain winning the Euro 2012 by 4-0, you just won US$11,000.  That’s if you bet US$100.  BetOnline was one of the books offering Correct Score betting on the Euro 2012

By the final minutes, one could still get down on Spain to win by 4-0 at 1/10 odds at some online bookmakers.  The 5-0 was being offered up at 8/1 odds and the way Spain was playing that nearly happened.

Spain managed to score their first point in the first 14 minutes.  David Silva won the first goalscorer bet at 9/1 odds.

Spain made history by retaining its title, the first team to ever do so.

Betfair.com confirmed it collected more than £1bn in bets on the Euro 2012, a record for the company.  Since £183m of that money was matched on England, one can assume Betfair made out pretty good this month.
