Seahawks vs. Rams Betting Line – Week 1

The Seahawks vs. Rams betting line for Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season had St. Louis as a +3.5 home underdog.

2015 kicks off the Nick Foles era in St. Louis.  Some believe this could be the surprise team of the new season.

There was some concern over the Rams offensive line and its ability to gel as the preseason was coming to a close.

The Rams' starting unit produced a mere three points in losses to the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans, two teams expected to be bottom feeders in 2015.

"We're moving people around, so guys are getting a lot of valuable experience, especially Garrett (Reynolds)," head coach Jeff Fisher said. "Garrett's playing guard and playing tackle. Same with Demetrius (Rhaney) playing guard and center. So that's really valuable experience for him."

The Rams were now listed as big -165 favorites to win UNDER 8 regular season games as a result.

Seattle was a favorite to win OVER 11 regular season games.  They were priced at -280 to win the division and had the second shortest odds of winning the 2016 Super Bowl at respectable +650 odds.

This is a Seattle team that could improve further with all eyes on newly acquired Jimmy Graham.

USA Today explains why:

Despite their recent dominance of the NFC, the ground-bound Seahawks haven't ranked better than 26th in passing offense since Russell Wilson became the starting quarterback in 2012. No Seattle receiver has reached double-digit touchdowns since 2006, something Graham has done three times in the past four seasons.
