Sam Bradford to Rams: How Does This Change Their Odds?

With the St. Louis Rams picking Sam Bradford number one in the 2010 NFL Draft, don't expect miracles.

They are not going to the Super Bowl.  They won't win the 2011 NFC Championship.  And we seriously doubt they'll even win their division, weak as it may be.

What sports bettors should focus on is the team total wins for the regular NFL season, which SBG Global was expected to release some time after the Draft.

Our guess here at Gambling911.com is that St. Louis will be listed with an OVER/UNDER of 4 ½ regular season wins.  Bradford could be good enough to get them OVER that hump.

The team makeup is such right now that Bradford would have to be a miracle worker to get them even remotely close to winning any type of championship.  St. Louis, after all, had the worst offense in the league last season.  Nonetheless, the offensive line has been slightly fortified over last season, enough to get Bradford some wins perhaps.

Bradford had been widely tipped to be the first name called as the top pick by the Rams, who had a woeful 1-15 record last season.

Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was named as the second overall pick by the Detroit Lions, while Gerald McCoy of Oklahoma went third to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oklahoma's offensive tackle Trent Williams went fourth to the Washington Redskins.

"You have no idea how excited I am just to have the opportunity to come to St. Louis and play my NFL career there," Bradford said in a conference call. "It's just a blessing and I can't wait to get there and get to work."

The Rams cut incumbent Marc Bulger in the offseason.
