Jets-Patriots Line

The Patriots-Jets line was one of the longest in recent memory with New England opening as the 9-point home favorite at Bookmaker.com.  This was the only determined game for the second week of the 2011 Playoffs (divisional round) as of press time.

Very early spread action was balanced but one of the more interesting observations made by Gambling911.com was on the money line with New York getting close to 85 percent of the betting action.  Should the Jets win outright, the payout would be approximately $34 for every $10 bet.

The Patriots are the number one seed in the Playoffs this year and were the first team to secure a spot along with home field advantage throughout.

The Jets just narrowly escaped with a win as the underdog in Indianapolis on Saturday.

Nick Folk made a 32-yard field goal as time expired Saturday night.

"I'll tell you what, it feels awesome because this is the playoffs and we're moving on," said Jets head coach Rex Ryan, who is now 3-1 in playoff road games.  New York will play its 9th consecutive Playoffs road game in New England next weekend.

LaDainian Tomlinson had two rushing touchdowns for the second time in a playoff game, and has six playoff rushing touchdowns -- the most among active players.  He is also the third player in franchise history with multiple rushing touchdowns in a playoff game, joining LaMont Jordan (2002) and Curtis Martin (1998).

"It's emotional, exciting and all those things at once," Tomlinson said. "We knew it was going to be a dogfight against a great team."
