Monitoring the line movements versus the amount of action coming in on the Packers vs. Falcons game it seems obvious that the books at least believe Atlanta will advance to Super Bowl 51.
What we have witnessed since the start of the week, around 60 percent of the spread betting action for this game was on Green Bay. The oddsmakers reacted by moving the line from -4 to -6 in an effort to increase action on Green Bay further.
60 percent of the action on any given team in a Conference Championship will leave the books exposed to a particular side, in this case Green Bay covering.
Certainly the books have a strong opinion here that Atlanta will cover the spread, otherwise they would be encouraging more action on the Falcons, something they have not done.
