This game goes off Saturday, 7:45 pm Eastern – ESPN

A matchup of Top 25 teams highlights Saturday night’s college football action as sixth-ranked TCU plays 24th ranked Oregon State at Cowboys Stadium in a game that can be seen on ESPN.  The Horned Frogs went undefeated in the regular season last year but lost their BCS bowl game to Boise State.  The Horned Frogs could run the table again as they return a lot of starters including quarterback Andy Dalton who threw for 2,756 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.

TCU is a 13.5 point favorite with a total of 50 at SBG Global.

TCU should be even better this college football bettingseason on offense but they could slip on defense.  The Horned Frogs lost All-American end Jerry Hughes and linebacker Daryl Washington plus they lost starting cornerbacks Rafael Priest and Nick Sanders.  The defense should get a good test right off the bat against a good Oregon State offense led by Jacquizz Rodgers who leads all returning players in the country with 3,462 yards from scrimmage the last two years.

Oregon State will have a new starting quarterback in Ryan Katz who replaces Sean Canfield who graduated.  Katz will be handing the ball off a lot to Jacquizz Rodgers who rushed for 1,440 rushing yards and 21 TDs last year.  His older brother James had 91 receptions for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. The Beavers return eight starters on defense but they are probably in over their head against a very good TCU offense.

Taking a look at the betting stats for Saturday night’s game we see that the Beavers are 23-9 ATS in their last 32 games overall. The Beavers are 8-21-1 ATS in their last 30 games in September

TCU has won their last seven NCAA football season openers. The Horned Frogs are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Horned Frogs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in September.

Betting stats for the total indicate that the Under is 4-1 in the Beavers last 5 games in September. The Under is 10-4 in the Beavers last 14 non-conference games. The Over is 4-0 in the Horned Frogs last 4 vs. the Pac-10. The Over is 4-1 in the Horned Frogs last 5 games overall.
