Super Bowl Arrested

Bookmaker.com has released odds on a popular Super Bowl prop:  Will an NFL player be arrested prior to Super Bowl Sunday?

They say “No” with a line of -300.  You would have to bet $30 to win $10 (and the initial bet is refunded assuming your wager wins).

On the other hand, $12 is paid out for every $10 bet on the event there is an NFL player arrested prior to this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The minimum bet is $50 and therefore the maximum profit would be $60 if an arrest occurs.

Bookmaker.com is also offering odds on whether Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is accused of a crime prior to the big game.  Odds on the YES would pay out $60 for every $10 bet.

The Kansas City Chiefs have deep ties to the Super Bowl. Not because they’ve been a regular participant, which they haven’t been, rather for other reasons. Late owner Lamar Hunt was credited with naming the Big Game years after the first one was actually played. Former coach Hank Stram immortalized his and his team’s involvement by wearing a microphone in the Chiefs’ win over Minnesota in Super Bowl IV. Fifty years later the Chiefs are returning to the Super Bowl to take on the San Francisco 49ers as a 1-point favorite on the current NFL betting line.
