Gambling911.com looks at this week’s NFL odds and offers some great tips, strategies and a few predictions.

What the Public is Betting in NFL Week 4 -

Denver Broncos – Perhaps the most wagered on side in Week 4 of the NFL.  Denver was seeing close to 80 percent of the spread action coming in as they visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Oddsmakers are neither encouraging bets on the Broncos by moving the line downwards off the 3 nor are they trying to get more gamblers backing the Bucs by moving the line above that dreaded number.  The exposure is high here for the bookmakers.  Using one of our most coveted time tested betting strategies, we suspect a cover by Tampa Bay within one or two points and quite possibly an outright win in Week 4. Tampa Bay cover 65 percent

Detroit Lions – The injury-riddled Bears host the Lions Sunday as a +3 home dog.  Better than 75 percent of the wagers were coming in on Detroit.  We have seen zero books move this line over the 3 while a handful have teased at 2.5.  This suggests a Chicago cover is anticipated by the books though their opinion here is not necessarily strong.  Our tip here would be to avoid betting a game where neither team is especially good and the side the bookies seem to like will be short-handed.  Chicago cover 60 percent

Carolina Panthers – The line opened at Panthers -3.5 and quickly dropped to -3 where it has remained all week on the road against the Atlanta Falcons.  Carolina was seeing the 3rd most action of any side much of the week though the books are still fairly exposed here.  Atlanta cover 60 percent

New York Jets – With the books opening the number at Seattle -3.5 on the road and the line likely to close at -1.5, where most books had it Saturday afternoon, this is an obvious reaction to New York seeing 65 percent of the action.  Still, this one can go either way so be careful as New York was the 4th most bet on side and bookmakers will have less exposure assuming other games fall their way.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
