NFL Week 14 Predictions – Jones-Drew, Unheralded Jaguars Look to Get defensive Against Raiders

Maurice Jones-Drew and the Jacksonville Jaguars will be looking to handle the Oakland Raiders and record consecutive victories while cashing in for BetUS gridiron gamblers as an NFL predictions home favorite when they host the Raiders at EverBank Field in a Week 14 matchup that could have playoff implications for both teams.

Sunday, December 12, 1:00 PM ET

Live from EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL

TV:CBS

Radio:Sirius 91 and 125

NFL Odds

Jacksonville Jaguars -4

Over/Under 42.5

Here is a look at the key head-to-head trends surrounding this matchup.

  • Favorite is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

Oakland 411

  • Raiders are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.
  • Raiders are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.
  • Raiders are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.

Oakland (6-6 SU, 7-5 ATS, 7-5 O/U) jumped all over the San Diego Chargers in their Week 13 AFC West divisional matchup, winning 28-13 to cash in against the NFL PredictionsOdds as hopping 12.5-point road underdog to snap their two-game SU and ATS losing streak.

The Raiders used their powerful rushing attack to subdue the high-powered Chargers as Darren McFadden and Michael Bush each topped 95 yards rushing while rushing for one touchdown. The Raiders have alternated Over and Under outcomes over their last eight games.

Jacksonville 411

  • Jaguars are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.
  • Jaguars are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. AFC.
  • Jaguars are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games as a home favorite.

The Jaguars (7-5 SU, 8-4 ATS, 9-3 O/U) put the Tennessee Titans on lock down in their 17-6 Week 13 win over their AFC South divisional rivals. The Jaguars covered the NFL predictionsodds as a 3-point road underdog as Jones-Drew ran roughshod all over the Titans to the tune of 186 yards on 31 carries. Jacksonville played Under the O/U Total for the first time after five consecutive Over outcomes.

NFL Predictions:First and foremost, my NFL Predictions for what looks like a tight ballgame waiting to happen, is to play the Over with these two teams combining to average over 44 points per game while allowing a combined 47 points per game defensively.

The Over is 6-2 in Oakland’s last eight games against AFC opponents, 8-2 in Jacksonville’s L/10 games against their AFC conference counterparts and 5-1 in Jacksonville’s last half-dozen games overall.

As far as my NFL Predictions pick is concerned, I am going to back the Jacksonville Jaguars to hold down the fort and cover the spread against a Raiders team that, while talented, is far too inconsistent for me to back in this matchup.

I know the Jaguars aren’t world beaters or anywhere close to being considered an ‘elite’ team, but I like the way they’ve come together the last five weeks while covering the spread in every single game for BetUS pro football betting buffs and I say they cash in again against the Raiders.

NFL Picks: Over 42.5 Total Points/Jacksonville Jaguars -4 Points
