The New York Jets regular season win total odds for 2014 were coming in at -130 UNDER 7.5 at AceSportsbook.com.

The offense should improve with the signing of former Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker and Chris Johnson but there is no getting around a potential quarterback controversy involving current starting quarterback Geno Smith and newly signed Michael Vick.

Additionally there will be inexperience at the secondary position with at least two new starters anticipated.

Rushing yards per game were 6th best in the league at 134.9 YPG  while the rushing defense remained solid.  Opposing teams were held to 88.3 yards per game and that was the 3rd best showing in the NFL.

Last year’s Jets team only ranked 30th in fantasy points scored among all fantasy Defense and Special Teams (DSTs).

The Jets have the 9th toughest schedule in the league in 2014.  This year they will face each of the teams in the AFC West, hosting Denver and on the road in San Diego.  The other two meetings (both at the Meadowlands) are winnable.

They also face all four teams in the NFC North.  This is a little more challenging perhaps though Chicago and Detroit do come to New Jersey.

The OVER 7.5 regular season games does have value paying EVEN odds even though we are not entirely convinced this scenario will ultimately unfold.
