The New York Jets 2014 Super Bowl odds would pay out $12,500 for every $100 bet.  Should they get rid of Mark Sanchez and boost the offense just a bit, this could actually be a tough team to beat.  That’s because they will have one of the best defensive lines in the league.

Jets defensive end Quinton Coples talked candidly about his team’s potential.

“We're not trying to be nobody but us besides us," Coples said, via Newsday. "No disrespect or discredit to any defensive front out there, we want to be the best and make our own name."

"Why am I so confident? Why wouldn't I be?" he added. "I see what we have, I see the talent that we have, and at the end of the day, with the coaches that we have, the sky's the limit."

Defense alone won’t win games, but the Jets certainly could be better than the pundits expect.  Oddsmakers have the Jets paying $10.50 for every $10 bet should they win more than 6.5 regular season games.

There is more good news for New York coming in Sunday after first round draft pick cornerback Dee Milliner agreed to a four-year, $12.66 million contract.
