Current line: New Orleans – 7 / Over & Under at 48 ½

Time:  Sunday, September 22, 1:00 pm (EST) FOX,DirectTV, NFL Red Zone

The Arizona Cardinals are going to get tested against the New Orleans Saints this weekend, as they step onto the gridiron in a week 3 match up. The Saints seem to have a new revitalized aura about them as their coach has come back and made serious changes to not only morale, but so much more. The team is playing solid football and will definitely showcase a good amount of prowess against an Arizona team that is also proving they can really throw down on the field.

The wildcard here is definitely Carson Palmer, as he has found a way to stay with the NFL longer than most other USC grads, and even outlasted Tebow Mania. His first season with the Arizona team is looking quite interesting, and some analysts have even called the match up a dangerous one. Palmer has to get in sync with his team, as he’s still a bit shaky, although he has the tools to get moving forward with relative ease. The Saints have jumped to a nice start, and have back to back weeks of momentum in their corner.

The offense of the Saints is looking crisp and can definitely prove to be a good overall. Watch out for them to play another game of pure intensity, and if they continue to go the way they have been, another blow out can be expected. That’s not to say that it is a sure thing, because as you know the Cardinals defense can show signs of glory here and there. They can stop the run well, and while they don’t really hit the quarterback every time, they are ranked high against the running game, so look out for some serious hits up front.

The Match Up:

Drew Brees is in stride, their coach is back, the team looks good on paper and could very well steam roll right through the Arizona squad. That’s not to say that they are going to have it easy, but on paper they seem to be the clear winner. Arizona has to do some things particular well, some that they are not used to doing. The last time they met, the Arizona team took the Saints out, could it happen again? That’s the question that can be hard to answer if you’re just looking at the numbers and the variables. Even with the unpredictable nature of the game, we’re going to have to go with the momentum of the Saints to carry them over the Cardinals with – 7 overall.

The Edge

Our pick is New Orleans – 7.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
