Michigan vs. Michigan State Spread

The Michigan vs. Michigan State spread opened at -3 and has since dipped to -1.5 in favor of the home team Spartans.  80 percent of those betting the spread on this game were backing the Wolverines, thus forcing the line down one-and-a-half-points.

The Michigan Wolverines have the sternest test of the bunch with a trip to East Lansing. They're the only team in the Top 12 that is an underdog. The Michigan State Spartans, who are also ranked in the AP Poll, were favored by three points when this one opened. The good news for Michigan is that the road team is 6-2 ATS and 5-3 SU in the last eight meetings of these instate rivals.

Michigan State has won the last three in this series by more than the current spread.  At home two years ago, the Spartans enjoyed a similar opening spread of -4 and covered by 6, however, this one went into overtime.

Wolverines are 5-23 ATS in their last 28 conference games.

Wolverines are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

Wolverines are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games.

This could be offset by the fact that the Spartans are  0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a home favorite of 0.5-3.0 and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
