Line on Packers-Steelers

After moving up to -3 earlier in the week, coming into Friday one online sportsbook featured a line on the Packers-Steelers at -2 in favor of Green Bay.

SBG Global was a rare breed among online sportsbooks, electing to feature such an enticing line for Packers backers.

Spread betting action coming into Friday was close to even with 55 percent of the bets coming in on Green Bay.  Money line action had 80 percent of gamblers believing the Steelers could win outright.

For the Packers, this will be their first Super Bowl since the team’s back-to-back seasons in 1996 and 1997.

All eyes will be on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whose leadership role both on the field and in the locker room have proven instrumental in helping Green Bay reach the Super Bowl.

The quarterback told Reuters Friday:

"I think it's one of the most important parts of my job, I really do. I think a leader needs to first lead by example. I hope my teammates would say that about me, that I'm a guy who shows up early, is the most prepared guy on the offense, and cares about his teammates deeply.

"I'm a competitor. I wear my emotions on my sleeve often during the game.

"And I realize I can be not only the face of the franchise, but also a guy that people look to on the field for energy, enthusiasm, how my attitude is and I'm very aware of all that."
