New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was expected to undergo back surgery Friday and will likely miss the rest of the season, including the Playoffs as a result.

New England had been a 2-1 odds favorite to win Super Bowl 51. The Gronkowski news was so devestating to their chances that oddsmakers swiftly removed odds Thursday afternoon.

Gronkowski left Sunday's game against the New York Jets with an injury.
