Green Bay Packers Odds to Win the 2013 NFC Championship Pay Nearly 3-1

WagerWeb.com was offering the Green Bay Packers with odds to win the 2013 NFC Championship at just shy of 3-1.

Perhaps it is the somewhat unenticing price that has only 6 percent of those betting on the NFC Championship backing Green Bay early on.  Contrast that with division rival Chicago Bears getting around 12 percent of the action at 10/1 odds and the Philadelphia Eagles getting nearly 14 percent at +550 or 5.5/1.

Andy Benoit says, why not look beyond the NFC Championship when there is a Super Bowl to be won?

As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy, this offense will be nearly impossible to stop. The defense seems too loaded at all three levels not to bounce back from a subpar year. Expect this team to win its second Super Bowl in three years.

For the record, the Green Bay Packers odds of winning the 2013 Super Bowl were at 5/1, and based on Benoit’s assessment, this price has amazing value.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
