Giants vs. Eagles

The Giants vs. Eagles line remained at Philadelphia -3 at most online sportsbooks and the brick and the Vegas books.  Both teams come into this game at 6-3.  The Eagles also entered Gambling911.com’s NFL Power Rankings this week.  Nearly 80 percent of the spread betting action was on the Eagles in this game.  The money line had the Eagles getting around 60 percent.  There was even action on the total: 48.

The Eagles come into this game after destroying Washington by a score of 59-28 last week.

Philadelphia center Mike McGlynn claimed the team was motivated by Donovan McNabb's comments after the Redskins beat Philadelphia 17-12 last month. McNabb, speaking of the offseason trade that sent him to Washington, said at the time: "Everybody makes mistakes in their lifetime, and they made one last year."

"Donovan had said some things after they beat us that fired us up, saying how they made a terrible decision and everybody makes mistakes," McGlynn said. "I think we're happy with where we are right now."

The Giants had much worse luck last week, allowing Philadelphia to tie for first place in the NFC East division.  New York was beaten by a troubled Dallas Cowboys team that got rid of their head coach just the week prior.

Cowboys interim quarterback Jon Kitna passed for 327 yards and three touchdowns.

"I thought the intensity was there in all three areas," Cowboys replacement coach Jason Garrett said. "Guys were fighting for each other. We were challenged in all areas and I think we stepped up."

Let’s look at some important betting trends coming into this game.

The away team has won 5 of the last 6 games in this series, though Philadelphia has covered the last 4.

The Giants are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home. However, they are also 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games following a Straight Up loss

The Giants are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 games as a road underdog of 0.5-3.0.

The Giants are 21-7 ATS in their last 28 road games.

The Giants are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games as an underdog.  The Eagles are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0.

The Eagles are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC East.

Philadelphia is 1-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
