New York Giants Stranded Kansas City

Despite Eli Manning and the gang being stranded in Kansas City Saturday night en route to Minneapolis, the Giants-Vikings spread had seen zero change since moving to New York -3 a few days ago.  That all changed after the Metrodome roof collapse early Sunday, forcing a move to Detroit and Monday night game time.  The line at some books was now Giants -4 but please monitor carefully as this game line was in constant flux.

"We continue to closely monitor the weather in Minneapolis and remain in regular contact with both clubs and local public safety authorities," NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello said in a statement issued Saturday night prior to the dome collapse. "We will continue to do so and are prepared to make adjustments in the schedule as necessary. The Giants are spending the night in Kansas City and plan to fly to Minneapolis tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Because the flight is less than one hour, the game could begin as scheduled at noon CT.”

Gambling911.com’s own Don Shapiro had commented on any potential negative impact Saturday’s events might have on the Giants performance Sunday and it was looking more obvious that weather would wreak havoc on this game.  Now both teams are likely to be impacted, though Brett Favre said he had not planned on starting if they game were played on Sunday.  It seems a 32 hour extension might be just what the doctor ordered as he is suggesting starting Monday night.

This game will be shown on Fox in the New York and Minneapolis markets.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
