Sports Interaction betting analyst Frank Doyle gives his free NFL picks for Week 13 of the regular 2009 season.

New England getting filleted in New Orleans was the shock of the season so far. I thought there was a chance that the Patriots could get beaten, sure, anybody can get beaten, but the Patriots got destroyed by Drew Brees. Destroyed. Belichick sending in Brian Hoyer to mop up for Tom Brady says it all about how clearly Belichick saw the writing on the wall.

But the Patriots haven't lost two games straight since 2006 or thereabouts, and it's very hard to see them losing at Miami this weekend. The Patriots were the first victim of wildcat when the Dolphins introduced it last year but Ronnie Brown is out, Chad Henne is showing his inexperience at quarterback and there's only so much Ricky Williams can do on his own.

Miami is a fine, gutsy team making the most of limited resources but the Patriots have a clear advantage in terms of personnel and history tells us New England is at its most dangerous when riled. New England -5 at Miami with Sports Interaction is the first of my free NFL picks for Week 13.

The Saints themselves are 9.5 point favorites at Washington this weekend and I like them to cover that number. Washington has been playing better than it had been in the past two games but Dallas and Philly are not playing at the same level of excellence as New Orleans right now. The amount of players who have scored touchdowns for New Orleans this year is astonishing, and the Saints D will give the misfortunate Jason Campbell plenty to worry about. New Orleans -9.5 at Washington with Sports Interaction is the pick here.

Finally, the line on Denver seems just a little low at -5 at Kansas City this week. The Broncos stomped all over the Giants last week and seemed to have rediscovered themselves after the four weeks of doubt that followed their winning streak at the start of the season.

Kansas is showing signs of progress but there's a real gang that can't shoot straight air about the Chiefs right now. Just good enough to get themselves beat. It's unusual to pick three road favorites in a week, but that's the way the numbers are adding up today. Denver -5.5 at Kansas City is the final pick of the week.
