First NFL Head Coach to be Fired

Sportsbook.com has released odds on the first NFL Head Coach to be fired in 2011-2012The favorite is Tony Sparano, head coach of the Miami Dolphins.

The Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero is reporting that Sparano won’t be canned, at least not this week.

"No, nothing’s happening," Salguero's source told him when asked if there were changes coming to the coaching staff.

The other name being thrown around as the first NFL head coach to have his head on the chopping block is one Todd Haley of the Kansas City Chiefs.  Here is a team that was one of the biggest surprises last year and now they start off the season 3-0.   Haley is listed with just shy of 2/1 odds or +180

Let’s take a look at the rest of the odds.

Jack Del Rio (Jaguars) +350

Jim Caldwell (Colts) +1000

Leslie Frazier (Vikings) +400

Marvin Lewis (Bengals) +1000

Todd Haley (Chiefs) +180

Tony Sparano (Dolphins) -120
