Those of you betting Preseason NFL on Friday August 17, take note.  The Dolphins vs. Panthers line had Carolina as a -4 point favorite at Bookmaker.eu

67 percent of those betting this game were backing Miami despite that team’s recent turmoil a la the Chad Johnson arrest for alleged domestic violence and subsequent release from the Dolphins.

Miami starting quarterback David Garrard is set to be out for up to four weeks following knee surgery.  None of this bodes well for the Dolphins, who oddsmakers have as a -140 favorite to win UNDER 7 regular season games, with 80 percent of the public betting action going in this direction as well.

The gambling public seems to be embracing Carolina’s chances of having at least a .500 season in 2012 with nearly 60 percent of the action going towards the Panthers OVER 7.5 regular season wins with a line of -130.
