Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers Betting Odds

The Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers betting odds had Green Bay as a huge double digit 12.5-point favorite against the Broncos at home.  This is the biggest line of the week and the betting public is supporting the nearly 2 touchdown spread with an 80 percent backing.

Tony Bryant of BetOnline.com noted:

The Packers have managed to overcome tough tests in each of their first three weeks, showing the resiliency of a championship team with three straight wins, and they should be able to increase that total this weekend. Green Bay has all of the weapons to make another run, and if they are able to put it all together this weekend then this game could get ugly in a hurry.

Green Bay should be able to beat just about any team in the league at home, but can they cover this lofty spread?

Past history suggests probably not.

The Packers are 7-18-2 Against The Spread in their last 27 games as a favorite of 10.5 or greater.

The Packers are 4-12-2 ATS in their last 18 games as a home favorite of 10.5 or greater.

Bryant suggests there is some vulnerability.

Green Bay’s defense has allowed an average of just 55 rushing yards per game which is the best mark in the NFL, but their pass defense has been awful and is ranked 31st with an average of 359.3 yards against.
