Cowboys vs. Vikings

The Cowboys vs. Vikings line continued to hover between Minnesota -2 ½ and -3 heading into Sunday game time.  This one goes off at 1:00 pm EST.  The -2 ½ line was available at Sports Interaction (you can open an online account here)  This game was getting even action on both sides.

The Cowboys are hot right now having won 3 straight games.

Against the Eagles last week, elix Jones rushed 16 times for 148 yards, the third-highest rushing total in Cowboys playoff history behind performances by Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith.

Tony Romo got his first playoff win after losing his first two appearances, going 23 for 35 for 244 yards and two touchdowns.

"This team has hung together all year, got stronger at the end of the year and is playing our best football," Cowboys Coach Wade Phillips said. "I think we're playing as good as anybody right now."

And maybe even better than the Minnesota Vikings.

Minnesota appeared to be falling apart towards season's end but managed to slaughter the New York Giants during Week 17.  If this is the Vikings team that shows up against Dallas, the Cowboys could be in for some trouble.

"I think it's proof of what we're capable of doing," said Vikings quarterback Brett Favre, who completed 25 of 31 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns in less than three quarters without a turnover. "Where it takes us from here, I have no idea. But it was definitely a momentum boost and confidence."

Favre became the first QB to throw for 30 or more TDs with seven or less interceptions in a single season. He also finished with 4,202 passing yards for the season, recording his sixth 4,000-yard season to tie for second in NFL history.

Sidney Rice had six catches and 112 yards, his fourth 100-yard game of the season.

The 44 points are the most the Vikings have scored since Week 16 of the 2003 season against the Chiefs.

The Cowboys vs. Vikings line was not expected to move below -2 ½ by game time.
