College Football Picks Week 8 2011

DonBest TV’s Brian Blessing, Bruce Marshall and Kenny White present their College Football picks for Week 8 of the 2011 season.

Every week at DonBest.com there are about 15 or so games that get picked, both sides and totals, that are presented to assist with your weekend betting.

NC State vs. Virginia – 5.5 is the line favoring Virginia.  Blessing believes this spread is too big. Virginia had a big win last week.  All three gentlemen feel there will be a Virginia let down in this situation.  Blessing and Marshall both say bet the Wolfpack here.

Illinois vs. Purdue – Illinois is a -3.5 road favorite here.  The Illini had a chance to go 7-0 for the first time in 60 years and they blow it at home against Ohio State, White noted.  He suggested another let down here, also pointing out that Purdue is a team that has shown improvements, playing much better in recent weeks.  Marshall wasn’t so sure and has decided to pass on this game, though he does note that Purdue has been running the ball much better in recent weeks.

Georgia Tech vs. Miami Florida – The line here had Miami at -3.  “There is that long standing angle,” Blessing noted.  “First loss for the Yellow Jackets, how do they react?”  White suggested getting down on this number (3) now since they is a good chance it will go up.  “The Hurricanes have a great run defense,” White added.  “They have everybody back healthy.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?

Bet on Jared Verse Draft Position

Jared Verse had an over/under selection number of 15.5 with CBS Sports believing the Florida State EDGE will be chosen by the Seattle Seahawks at No. 16.
