College Football Friday Lines:

Rutgers -3 LOUISVILLE

Temple -2 OHIO

CINCINNATI -20 ½ Illinois

BOWLING GREEN -8 Toledo

COLORADO STATE -3 Wyoming

Buffalo -3 KENT STATE

Alabama -10 AUBURN (2:30 pm Game)

Nebraska -10 ½ COLORADO

TULSA -16 ½ Memphis

Pittsburgh -1 ½ WEST VIRGINIA

BOISE STATE -14 Nevada

The Scouts Inc. edge in the Alabama vs. Auburn game goes to Alabama, not surprisingly.

"Auburn has had an extra week to prepare and surely will turn in an emotionally charged performance against its fiercest rival. The Iron Bowl typically has not been a throw-out-the-records rivalry, though. Of the 32 times the teams have come into the game separated by three or more wins, the team with the better record has won 29 times. Alabama is a better-coached team with stronger personnel at every position other than quarterback, and even that is a toss-up. Expect the Crimson Tide offense to pound it out on the ground with a heavy dose of Ingram and eventually wear down the smaller, less-physical Tigers, and one or two takeaways on the other side of the ball will seal the deal for Alabama."

The big game of the night is Pittsburgh -1 ½ WEST VIRGINIA

Scouts Inc. says:

"Pittsburgh has won six straight and boasts more overall talent than West Virginia, but the Panthers cannot get caught looking ahead to next week's showdown with Cincinnati. The Mountaineers will play with emotion and Morgantown is one of the most hostile environments in college football so Panthers coach Dave Wannstedt must have his team focused. Devine and Brown will make enough plays to keep this game close but the Panthers have too much balance offensively for West Virginia to keep pace. Once they establish a lead look for Lewis and the ground game to kick into full gear and bleed the clock against a worn-down Mountaineers defense."

Alabama was the most bet on team of the day followed by Pittsburgh.
