There were some absolutely fantastic games on tap for Week 5.  Some of these might shatter the 2011 College Football season betting records to date when all is said and done.

The best of the games will be televised nationally.

Number 3 Alabama meets number 12 Florida as a -3.5 road favorite.  This one opened over -5 at some online sportsbooks.  Watch this one on CBS at 8 pm EST.

Everybody is talking about the Cornhuskers vs. the Badgers.  This game featured a line of -10 at some online sportsbooks.  You may find yourself switching between ABC to watch this game and CBS to watch Alabama vs. Florida as both air at the same exact time.

Auburn, which is not currently ranked, will take on South Carolina at 3:30 pm EST.  The Gamecocks are hovering between -9.5 and -10.  This one airs on CBS and should be a good matchup.

Clemson vs. Virginia Tech features teams ranked number 13 and 11, respectively.  Both are undefeated.  Virginia Tech was at -6.5.  The game goes off at 6 pm EST and airs on both ESPN2 and ESPN3.

Texas A&M vs. Arkansas is a Noon affair with a line of -3 favoring the Aggies.  Both teams are ranked.  Watch this one on ESPN.

Thursday’s game featuring South Florida at Pittsburgh had a line that was jumping between -1.5 favoring South Florida to -3.  Most books on Wednesday were offering the number at -2.5.

While the young guns take over the AFC, the NFC Championship features two of the best to ever play in the NFL. Tom Brady suits up for his 14th conference championship game leading the Tampa Bay Buccaneers into Lambeau Field for a tussle with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. As the Bucs proved last week, the outcome of regular season games is meaningless so don’t read too much into Tampa’s 38-10 decision over Green Bay in Week 6.

Both conference championship games this weekend are rematches of games played earlier in the regular season. Surprisingly, teams that won the first meeting are 55-39 when facing that same team in the postseason. .
