The Chiefs vs. Broncos betting line had Denver as a big double digit 12-point home favorite against a Chiefs team that disappointed last week.
Kansas City Defensive Problems
If it wasn’t already bad enough for the Kansas City Chiefs on defense, they will be without linebacker Derrick Johnson and defensive tackle Mike DeVito for the rest of the season. The Kansas City Chiefs defense gave up 26 points last week and the defense figures to give up even more points this week to a potent Denver Broncos offense led by Peyton Manning. Last year Manning shredded the Chiefs in the December win, throwing for 403 yards and 5 TDs. He has thrown 11 touchdowns in four matchups with KC.
KC Offense Getting a Boost
The Kansas City Chief offense should be better this week as Dwayne Bowe returns from suspension. They will also be getting the ball more to Jamaal Charles who averaged 4.9 yards per carry against the Broncos last year.
''I want to see the ball more and coach knows that,'' Charles said. ''It's a long season, just one game. We can get worse or we can get good. My job is to get the team good.''
