Barcelona director Andoni Zubizarreta has been emphatic that his club has no intention of off-loading Villa after last year’s £40m signing.

The 29-year-old Villa insists he wants to end his career in Barcelona.   That club’s £ 350million debt has prompted rumors of a Villa trade.

"All that's been said hasn't bothered me because it isn't rumours or speculation, it's a lie. Hopefully I can retire at Barca because that would mean everything has been great for me.

"I would like to have the chance to retire at Barca even though I'm only 29. It would be very nice. I want to be at Barca as long as possible."

Villa is a slightly bigger favorite to land at Man City at 4/1 odds.  Manchester United sat at 8/1 odds of landing Villa.
